The technological platform used to implement the solutions provided by Bayes Forcast is called Tol (Time Oriented Language). It is an Open Source Software for the treatment, modeling, and explotation of massive time information.


Bayes Forecast develops Tol for systems running on Microsoft platforms as well as UNIX platforms (including Linux).

The main features of Tol are:

  • Interpreted programming language.
  • Basically declarative, although it allows flux control.
  • Dynamic memory management (scope).
  • Self-evaluting language.
  • Functions are Code type and can be used as arguments of other functions and stored as structures.
  • Lazy evaluation.
  • The user can create functions and data structures.
  • It allows recursivity of functions (mono and polyciclic).
  • Strongly typed language.
  • Implmenttation of an algebraic representation of time that allows mainpulation as time series as virtually inifinite objects.
